This is my first tattoo. I got it a couple of years ago as a gift for my 18th birthday from my mom. It’s a memorial tattoo of sorts, but also a tattoo about me growing up. The key is for my grandpa. He would always tell me when I was younger that I had the key to his heart…this way I’ll never lose it! :) The butterflies represent my growth as a woman, from the young girl I was when he passed away to the woman I am today. And the purple paint represents me as an artist. Art has always been an important part of my life.
